El Salvadoran Immigrant. Chicago raised. Adopted Texan. Kriss-Abigail (two first names) has spent the last 8 years practicing the art and craft of Wild Game Butchery in the Texas Hill Country. While honing her knife skills, she fell in love with the process of turning death into food. Driven by a passion to share her knowledge, she decided to launch Meet Your Meat.

From breakdown to specific cuts, I share my expertise with new and the more experienced hunters out in the wilderness.
I’ve been the on-site butcher for The New School of Traditional Cookery , work with The Texas Wildlife Association , Hunters of Color.
I will be teaching in-depth Wild Game Butchery clinics at Casa Venado at the San Antonio Foodbank in 2024! Tickets are now available!!!
